RULES FOR UTILITY SERVICE
1. The Borough is not liable in the event of service interruption, but will restore same as quickly as possible. In the event of service interruption it will be appreciated if customer calls 724-452-6610.
2. Applicant agrees to pay all bills promptly upon receipt of statement.
3. A late charge of one and one-half percent (1 ½%) will be assessed on any account having an outstanding balance after the 15th of each month.
4. If a bill becomes delinquent 60 days, customer understands and agrees that service may be discontinued with or without prior notice. Service will be resumed, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, holidays excluded, only after full payment of bill plus a reconnection charge of $35.00
5. Applicant agrees to give ten (10) days notice when service is to be discontinued. Deposits will be returned to applicant only after settlement in full of all outstanding charges.
6. Meters are the property of the Borough, but applicant, in requesting service, agrees to protect same from damage or be financially responsible for repairs or replacements.
7. Applicant agrees to permit meter readers entrance to premises for the purpose of reading meters or will accept estimates by Borough office.
8. Customer must keep meter area clear and accessible to the meter reader.
9. Tampering with any property of the Borough, including meters, will be cause for the immediate discontinuance of service and legal action against all guilty parties.
10. Customer agrees to notify Borough immediately in the event that their premises are converted to accommodate more than one family.
