THE TRAVELERS' CLUB
The Travelers' Club
may be one of the oldest,
continually operating,
non-church organizations in
the Zelienople area. Its
aim is to bring together
women interested in travel,
fine arts, and science for
the purpose of cultural
growth and philanthropic
advancement.
It was established at
a time when it was not
practical for local women
to travel. Accordingly,
unfamiliar lands, customs
and cultures could be
visited on an intellectual
basis by members
researching particular
topics and giving reports
at their meetings.
Today there seems to
be a never ending number of
cultural frontiers.
Reports continue to be
researched and presented,
and in many cases are
embellished with first-hand
information. The
Travelers' Club also serves
the Zelienople Library as a
voluntary support group.
Membership is
available to women desiring
cultural growth. Contact
Mrs. Sue Ann Whittick-Duff,
President, for information
at (724) 452-3241.
