Memoriam
Borough Councilman Jim
Zeigler (1996-2011) passed away on January 8,
2012 at the age of 72. He was a dedicated
public servant who worked hard for the citizens
of Zelienople. His talent and his
friendship will be missed by all.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in
Jim's honor to the
Friends of
the Park, P.O. Box 142, Zelienople, PA
16063. Visitation will be at the
Boylan Funeral Home, 324 East Grandview Ave.,
Zelienople, PA 16063 on Wednesday, January
11, 2012 at 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:00
PM. Funeral services will be held on
January 12, 2012.

Snow
Removal
The
Borough is responsible for snow removal on all
Borough owned streets. Whereas, it is the
resident responsibility to remove snow and/or
ice from all sidewalks in front of or alongside
such property within twenty-four (24) hours
after the snow and/or ice has stopped falling.
DO NOT throw the ice and/or snow into the
street. This makes the job more difficult for
the Street Department.
American
Municipal Power 2012 Scholarship Program
The Scholarship Committee of
the American Municipal Power (AMP) Board of
Trustees is calling for nominations for
scholarships awarded. AMP will award up to
four Lyle B. Wright and up to four Richard H.
Gorsuch scholarships in the amount of $2,000
each. Nomination forms must be received on
or before January 20, 2012. An official
high school transcript must be received on or
before March 16, 2012.

Community
Park Rules & Regulations
Amendments to the park rules
and regulations were approved on July 25, 2011.
Amendments were made to the park hours,
amplification and sound systems, tobacco free
zone, and to an age 12 and under play zone.

Curbside Leaf Pick Up
Curbside leaf
pickup will resume on October 24, 2011.
Please put your leaves on the curb (not on the
street). Please note that there is no set
schedule for leaf pickup.
(Leaf Pick Up Service will stop on December 6 2011, until further notice)
Brush Pile Pick Up
Brush pile
pick up will resume as regularly scheduled on April 6th.
Please note that only tree
limbs (6" diameter or smaller) will be picked up.
NO GARDEN DEBRIS. Call the Borough Office at (724)
452-6610 to schedule a pick up.

19, 2011, until further notice)
